The shots would be relatively close in the game but the scoring was anything but... AH would hold a 3-0 lead at the halftime break and then hammer away in the 2nd period recording the mercy shutout victory with 5:49 left onthe clock. Spare tender Phil Downer would pitch a perfect game stopping all 35 TNG shots, while another spare Patrick Gaudreau was certainly not to blame for the blowout loss as he faced 44 shots on goal and made a bunch of great saves.

As he often is, Brad McCarter was the scoring star in this game with help from up and coming linemate Corey Muscant and solid vet Amanda Tompkins leading the way offensively to send their team to a 2-1-0 record while TNG drop to 1-1-1.
