Just over 2 minutes into the second period Perron would get loose again for a pair of goals in 80 seconds to notch the natural hat trick and tie this game at 3-3. Halfway through the period feisty Steve Sicotte managed to power home a feed from Dan Blondeau and Tania Drouin to put SM back up 1. With time ticking away in this game and an SM victory seemingly imminent Perron would play set up man, once again this season it was captain Shawn Weatherdon who was the recipient as he would score his 9th of the season with just 20 seconds left to play to tie this game at 4-4. The game would end in that same score as both teams walk away with a point in a very well played game.
