Game Recap:

Both the Truculent Defenders and Dirty Downers have followed a similar track this season, a slow start to the season which has led to a much stronger last 3-4 games and optimism regarding their chances this season, unfortunately both teams recently found out those chances were dealt a blow due to injury. For the Dirty Downers the injury is to their leadnig scorer, sniper Steve Toste, while for the Defenders it is to their star netminder, ironically also named Steve Toste,what a crazy coincidence. All joking aside, please join me in sending good healing vibes to Steve on his knee injury, hopefully the news is good and we see you back in both your spots sooner than later.

The game on the floor was very tight, TD held a 3-2 lead at the break and would extend to 5-2 on a Doug Tattrie

blast. With under 4 to play Truculent Frank Zic

would make the lead 6-3 and seemingly put the game to rest, but the spares for DD had other plans. With DD missing a star named Steve it was his replacement along with another star named Kelly's replacement that led the way for DD as spares Brock Murray

and Josianne Garneau

dominated the scoresheet together including popping 3 goals in the final 2:34 to tie the game at 6, and that's exactly how this game would end as DD pull off the unlikely comeback to steal a point.
