Both teams would come out of the gates firing in this game as 41 shots were taken on goal in the 1st period but not many goals were scoredin the period.... or the game for that matter. In fact all 2 of the goals scored in this entire game came in a 3 minute span late in the first as each team had a spare light the lamp. With the score tied 1-1 the goalies would regain their dominance and not let up one bit right down to the final buzzer, Brent Ferguson would end up facing 32 shots while allowing just the single goal and at the oher end Russ Latham would face mroe rubber but also allow just the one snipe stopping 44 of 45 shots.
