Game Recap:

As noted several times in this space, it has not been an easy season for The Next Generation, after going undefeated in their first 2 games of the season the team had dropped 5 in a row, mostly by a lopside margin., their task did not get easier in Week 8 as they took on a tough Sarcastic Monkeys squad who've put together a solid season thus far to sit solidly in A pool contention.
To TNG's credit, despite the losses, their team has continued to work and continued toapproach the game with a smile. As they've done many times TNG came out of the chute shooting to start this game directing 26 first period shots on the SM goal while only giving up 12, unlike their last few games the team was fully rewarded for their hard work in this game, when the dust cleared on the period they held a dominant 5-1 lead.
The 2nd period would see a concerted pushback from SM led mainly by their spares and team captain Kortnie Legari 🍏🍏... but their hole was too big in this game and TNG managed to add a few goals of their own to end the losing skid with an 8-5 victory. Josianne Garneau 🎩🎩🎩🚨🚨🍏 and Sean Frewen 🚨🍏🍏🍏🍏🍏 were a force to be reckoned with for TNG in the win while solid rear guard Jean-Francois Labelle 🚨🍏🍏 put up some nice numbers of his own.
