Week 3 - Goals! Goals! Goals!

What a week for the shooters as we saw no less than 7 hat tricks recorded including one massive 5 goal outburst and three 4 goal games... This week saw the last perfect record fall by the wayside as OCAYFF fell for the first time in a crazy one that saw 17 total goals scored! Only three teams have yet to taste defeat this season which three other teams have yet to feel the joy of victory, the way this season is going so far I odn't feel like any of those streaks will last too long.

The "Other J" stands out for BJ Time as J. Kellar pots 4

The It's BJ Time squad may be named after fireballer Bradley McCarter and veteran rearguard Jack Gould, but their underrated sharpshooter Jason Kellar 🎩🎩🎩🚨 was the stand-out today as he fired home 4 goals to lead his team to a solid 6-3 win over All Blais No Bite.

The aforementioned Bradley 🚨🚨 did notch 2 goals, while on the losing side, rookie Alim Dhanani 🚨 had a strong game and scored his 1st OFBHL goal.

Hawkins continues hot start to season leading Seacrets to 2nd straight W

For the second game in a row, we had a 4-goal scorer, this time it was Seacrets' playmaker Ryan Hawkins 🎩🎩🎩🚨 who tickled the twine and he was assisted by rookie Robin Pitman 🍏🍏🍏 who had 3 helpers in their 6-3 victory over Poke The Bear.

Magician Steven Toste 🚨🚨 displayed his filthy mitts in scoring 2 goals in a losing effort.

Jurrasic going extinct with 3rd straight loss thanks to Allston's Assassins

Ironically, for the 3rd game in a row today, we had a final score of 6-3. Only this game between Heron Road Assassins and Jurassic Puck didn't have a 4-goal guy, but instead featured a hat-trick scorer for each team in Ass captain Dave Allston 🎩🎩🎩 and Pucky blaster Richard Tattrie 🎩🎩🎩.

Fortunately for captain Dave, he also got big games from his trusty star linemate Kelly Brant 🚨🍏🍏🍏 with 1G-3A, blueliner Ty St-Jean 🍏🍏🍏 with 3 assists, and netminder Justin Labrecque with 42 saves to help secure the win. For Jurassic, sophomore Roxy Nesbitt 🍏🍏 and veteran rearguard Doug Tattrie 🍏🍏 each chipped in 2 assists.

Latham not making many friends of his opponents as he shines again

Here To Make Friends' power couple captains Andrew 🚨 & Amanda 🍏 Stephens had to acquire a full line of spares for this game, and they chose wisely as the temps combined for 6 points, half of those by playmaker Jeff Murphy 🚨🚨🍏 and a couple more for sophomore Kortnie Legari 🍏🍏. That production, on top of star goalie Russell Latham denying 38 of 40 shots, was enough for the Friendly bunch to get a 4-2 triumph over Give'r.

Captain Sean Frewen 🚨🍏 was in on both his team's goals.

Michels hold the hot "Baton" for B&B

After Baton et Balles and Multiple Floorgasms were knotted 1-1 at the intermission, Ballsy offensive catalyst Michel Sirois 🚨🚨 scored his 2nd marker of the contest about halfway through the 2nd stanza to give his team the lead. That seemed to inspire them as they would outscore their opponents 3-0 in the frame on their way to an impressive 4-1 win.

Baton twirling couple Michel Blondeau 🚨🍏 and Melissa Blondeau 🍏🍏 each had 2 points in victory, while 'Gasm captain Shawn Weatherdon 🚨 scored his team's only goal while his good buddy and acrobatic netminder Devin McManus made 41 saves in defeat. 

12:20 - Denis' Menaces 5 Runners & Gunners 3

Perron a spare "Menace" as DM take first win of the year

Down 3-2 at halftime, Denis' Menaces, still seeking their 1st win of this young season, were determined to come out strong in the 2nd half. And after some scintillating stops by their elite tender Marc-Andre Lalonde 🍏🍏, who made 48 saves in this game, veteran playmaker Don Prior rewarded him by scoring a beauty tally to tie the tilt at 3s. Then Menacing young stud spare Austin Perron 🎩🎩🎩🚨 fired home his 3rd and 4th goals of the game to help seal his temporary team's 5-3 victory.

In a losing effort, the Runners & Gunners got 2 points each from Kelly Brant 🚨🍏, Gabriel Grimard 🚨🍏, and Chris Stott 🍏🍏. 

1:10 - Hubba Bubba 10 O Come All Ye Faith-Ful 7

OCAYF and HB combine for 17 snipes in a goalie's nightmare of a game

In one of those tales of two halves, the undefeated O Come All Ye Faith-ful squad were looking great at the intermission up 4-1. And aided by a natural hat-trick by veteran sniper Shawn Lemoine 🎩🎩🎩🍏, they were actually up 6-1 with just over 16 minutes left to play.

But then Hubba Bubba crafty blueliner Adam Barrett 🚨🚨 scored two of his team's 4 goals within a 4-minute span to bring their team close at 6-5. Then after Faithful spare Steven Toste 🚨🚨🍏🍏🍏 made it 7-5, Bubblicious young sharpshooter Austin Perron 🎩🎩🎩🚨🚨 took over this score-fest as he mashed the mesh an incredible 4 times in a row in just over 4 minutes to flip the 2-goal lead over to his team. Then red-hot sophomore JP Donnelly 🚨🚨🍏🍏 lit the lamp to put this barn-burner pretty well out of reach with just 2:47 remaining.
