The game would open with spare Kortnie Legari getting RA on the board but that goal was quickly answered by SCP spare Andrew Stephens off an assist from the younger Frewen for his first O4 point as a player and the game was tied 1-1. After that the goaltenders would take over as Squires and spare Russ Latham were stellar, very late in the first RA would grab a lead thanks to Alex Rogozynski finishing on a scrambly play to send this game to halftime with RA up 2-1.

The second period would follow a very similar story with the goalies dominating, finally over halfway through the period it was Alim Dhanani potting a huge insurance goal, then on the next shift the man known as Rogo would add his 2nd of the game to make it 4-1. With the way Squires was playing that was more than enough cushion as he also would make a triumphant return to the league stopping 28 of 29 shots in victory. The game would end with a lopsided score thanks to a trio of goals for Dave Allston all coming in the final 83 seconds of play.
